About Stephen Rooney

I have been coaching goalkeepers for over ten years from the ages of 8 years up to senior level. I am a qualified FAI coach and I have worked with the FAI on their Summer Goalkeeping schools. Below is a list of clubs that I am currently coaching:

I began coaching goalkeepers whilst playing for St James Gate in Dublin. I was the Goalkeeping coach for the Sligo Leitrim  team that won the Italian U-15 Cup in Bologna, Italy in 2006.

I have worked as goalkeeping coach for the Cork U-15 schoolboys team

I have been capped by FAI at Junior Level playing against Scotland twice and Northern Ireland once.
